Immensely fascinated by the occult, Dante's Inferno and the photographs of the Bauhaus' classic architecture; JL Joseph Beaulieu is constantly trying to push boundaries with his newest catalog of photographs. Having been primarily a band photographer shooting musicians for promotional shots and live shows; here he transitions to a more photo journalistic style of altering the world he lives in by drawing attention to his existing surroundings. Having grown up in rural VT which was not unlike Hell to someone like himself, he moved to Philadelphia to begin his career at the age of 27 at the Art Institute. Working closely with other members of the metal/hardcore community there he is establishing a name for himself all his own.

Well you do an exceptional job with subject, contrast and rendering your final image for being both photographer and subject. Makes me think Cindy Sherman.
